Östersunds FK beat GIF Sundsvall 1-0 in Superettan. The only goal arrived after 23 minutes, when Jabir Abdihakim Ali converted from Simon Marklund's assist, and that proved enough to decide the match.
Sundsvall searched for an equaliser but could not find a way through. The game tightened up after the break, with three yellow cards shown to Ali, Isak Lindstrom and Malte Hallin, yet the scoreline stayed stuck at 1-0.
Ali was the match-winner with the early goal, though he also went into the book late in the second half. With no further goals, Östersunds held on for a narrow victory.
