Real Salt Lake went in front in the 36th minute when Dominik Marczuk finished after Sam Junqua's assist. Griezmann levelled in the 53rd minute and completed the comeback with the winner in the 81st. Lineker Rodrigues and Alexandros Katranis were booked before half-time, with Kobi Henry and Eduard Atuesta also shown yellows later in the game.
The statistics pointed to a balanced contest: possession was 50-50 and accurate passes were almost level, Orlando City having 51 to Real Salt Lake's 52. Griezmann's brace was the decisive contribution, making the difference in a match where neither side dominated the basic numbers.
