Issah Haruna opened the scoring in the 10th minute from Nolan Miller's assist, and although Nash Dearmin equalised for Inter Miami two minutes later, Harvey Sarajian restored the lead in the 25th minute. Pedro Henrique Leão Alves Lopes extended the advantage to 1-3 just before the break, and Ignacio Gómez completed the win in the 82nd minute, in a game that produced seven yellow cards.
The underlying numbers show why Orlando won so comfortably. Inter Miami shaded expected goals 1.13 to 0.84, yet Orlando City B created the clearer openings — three big chances and six shots on target to the hosts' one big chance and three. Orlando scored four goals from ten shots; Inter Miami scored one from nine.
