Kairat Almaty secured a 2-1 win over FC Ordabasy in the Premier League, thanks to goals either side of the break. Marc Gual's opener in the 14th minute gave them the lead, and Oiva Jukkola's strike three minutes from time looked to have sealed it before a late consolation.
The first goal came early when Gual found the net to put Kairat ahead. The second arrived in the 87th minute, with Jukkola doubling the advantage. Ordabasy pulled one back through Björn Johnsen deep into stoppage time, but it proved too little too late.
The match saw four yellow cards, with Lucas Áfrico, Aleksandr Martynovich, Léo Natel and Björn Johnsen all booked. Though Ordabasy rallied late, Kairat held firm to take all three points.
