Ontario answered twice early, erasing a 4th-minute deficit at 8:00 and matching the Firebirds' 12th-minute goal a minute later for 2-2. Coachella Valley took the lead for good two minutes into the second, added another at the 40-minute mark for 4-2, then closed it with goals at 57 and 58.
The decisive number is zero: Ontario didn't score after the 13th minute, while the Firebirds went 2-0 in the second and 2-0 in the third. Six goals from six different sequences across all three periods carried the road win.
