Lassine Sinayoko opened the scoring in the 21st minute, three minutes after Youssouf Ndayishimiye had been booked. Samir Sophian Chergui doubled the lead in the 51st minute with an assist from Ilan Kebbal, and Vincent Marchetti sealed the win in the 89th minute from Zabi's pass.
The underlying numbers underlined the difference. Paris finished with 2.74 expected goals and five big chances, scoring three, while Nice had 55% possession and 15 shots but only 0.57 expected goals and no big chances. The Paris goalkeeper made four saves to Nice's one.
