FK Žalgiris edged past OFK Petrovac 2-1 in the first leg of their Europa Conference League qualifier. The Lithuanian side took control with two second-half goals, but a late strike from the visitors set up a nervy finish.
The deadlock was broken in the 60th minute when Nikola Petković put Žalgiris ahead. A second goal came 15 minutes later, with Nemanja Mihajlović converting from Paulius Golubickas' assist to make it 2-0. OFK Petrovac pulled one back in the 87th minute through Trimron Selimi, ensuring a tense finale.
Žalgiris' efficiency in front of goal proved decisive, with Petković and Mihajlović both finding the net. Petrovac fought back late on but could not prevent the home side taking a narrow advantage into the return leg.
