NSÍ Runavík claimed a 2-1 victory over Ħamrun Spartans in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. A late goal in the 90th minute decided a tight contest that had looked to be heading for a draw.
Michał Przybylski put the Faroese side ahead in the 43rd minute with a finish from Viljormur Davidsen's assist. Ħamrun levelled early in the second half through Ante Ćorić, who converted after a pass from Eder. The equaliser held until stoppage time, when a scramble in the box resulted in an own goal that gave NSÍ the lead.
The match was a scrappy affair with six yellow cards issued, including one to Messie Biatoumoussoka before kick-off. Neither side created an overwhelming number of chances, but NSÍ made the decisive moment count right at the death.
