NK Osijek thrashed NK Rudeš 6-1 in the 1. HNL, taking control with four goals before half-time. Nail Omerović scored three and Armando León twice as the visitors ran away with the match.
León opened the scoring on 12 minutes and doubled the lead on 28. Omerović struck twice in three minutes, on 41 and 44, to make it 4-0 at the break, and Arnel Jakupović added a fifth on 69. Omerović completed his hat-trick on 81 before Rudeš's Lenny Ilečić scored a late consolation on 84.
Osijek were far the more dangerous side, finishing with 20 shots to Rudeš's nine and 10 on target to two, despite only 52% possession. The expected-goals count of 2.69 to 0.60 underlined their edge, with Omerović's hat-trick the standout individual performance.
