Tottenham U21 came from behind to beat Newcastle United U21 3-1 in Premier League 2. Newcastle struck early through Vakhtang Salia, but Tottenham turned the game around with three goals, including two in quick succession after half-time.
Salia gave Newcastle the lead in the 8th minute, assisted by Trevan Sanusi. Reiss Elliott-Parris equalised for Tottenham in the 36th minute, then Alfie Dorrington put them ahead in the 68th and Tyrese Hall made it 3-1 two minutes later, with Harry Byrne providing the assist.
The sides were evenly matched on possession, with 50% each, and both took four corners, but Tottenham were the sharper side in front of goal, registering six shots on target to Newcastle's four. Sean Neave was booked late in the first half as Newcastle struggled to stem the tide after their bright start.
