Inter Miami CF II beat New England Revolution II 4-2 in MLS Next Pro after racing into a three-goal lead by the 32nd minute. Diego Rey scored twice and set up another as the hosts looked in complete control.
Rey opened the scoring from Theo Vorenkamp's assist in the 13th minute, doubled the lead 12 minutes later, and then turned provider for Matías Acevedo's goal in the 32nd. Myles Morgan pulled one back before half-time, and Matthew Jean Baptiste made it 3-2 in the 71st minute, but Inter Miami responded immediately through Idoh Zeltzer-Zubida a minute later to settle it.
Diego Rey was the standout figure, involved in three of Inter Miami's four goals with his brace and an assist. New England briefly threatened a comeback, but the hosts' quick answer after Jean Baptiste's strike made sure they took all three points.
