FC Cincinnati 2 came from a goal down to defeat New England Revolution II 6-3 in a high-scoring MLS Next Pro encounter. Stefan Chirilla scored twice, including an 81st-minute equaliser, before Nathan Gray's late strike put the hosts ahead for good.
Chirilla opened the scoring in the 12th minute, but Gabe Dahlin equalised for the visitors three minutes later. Carlos Zarzalejo put New England in front on 57 minutes, only for Chirilla to level again in the 81st minute. Gray then added a third for Cincinnati in the 990th minute, a remarkable finish to the match.
Despite having only 40% possession and an expected goals total of 0.90 compared to New England's 2.01, FC Cincinnati 2 proved clinical, scoring three goals from their three shots on target. The Revolution II had six shots on target but were denied by four saves from the home goalkeeper.
