Barau FC took the points with a 3-1 win over Nasarawa United, settling the match with two goals in the final twelve minutes. The game had been level since the 25th minute, and the late burst proved decisive.
Joseph Atule put Barau ahead on 15 minutes, but Abubakar Abdullahi pulled Nasarawa United level ten minutes later. With the clock ticking down, Al-Amin Umar restored the lead on 78 minutes, assisted by Sugau, and Sugau then added a third four minutes later to make sure of the result. Joseph Atule was also booked in the 75th minute.
Sugau was the standout figure, setting up the second goal and scoring the third. Barau’s finishing in the closing stages separated the two sides, with the scoreline resting on that late double after a tight first hour.
