Monterrey beat Juárez FC 6-1 in the Primera Division Apertura. The home side were 3-0 up within 29 minutes, and although Juárez pulled one back, Monterrey scored again before half-time to leave no doubt about the outcome.
Luca Orellano opened the scoring after six minutes, Diego Rossi doubled the lead on 15 minutes, and Hugo Cuypers made it 3-0 on 29 minutes. Óscar Estupiñán gave Juárez hope two minutes later, but Orbelín Pineda restored the three-goal lead just before the break. Lucas Ocampos added a fifth on 62 minutes and Jorge Rodríguez completed the rout in the 90th.
Monterrey completely outshot Juárez, with 28 total shots to four and ten on target to one, while holding 62 per cent possession. Juárez's goalkeeper had four saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.
