R. Molleker defeated M. Soto 6-3, 6-3 in the Prague men's singles, clinching the match in straight sets. He was sharper on the big points, converting four break chances to Soto's two, and finished with a 50-39 edge in total points.
Molleker broke early in the opener to lead 0-2, was pegged back as Soto levelled at 3-4, then struck again to 3-5 and served out. In the second set he broke in the opening game, saw Soto draw level at 2-2, and after moving ahead 5-2, he closed the win with a final break at 3-6 despite Soto's late response.
The standout number was Molleker's second serve: he won 50% of points behind it (11/22), while Soto managed just 28% (5/18). Molleker also hit six aces and won 71% of points on his first serve despite a 52% first-serve rate.
