Molleker broke in the opening game and again in the fifth game of the first set, then withstood a break back from Blanch before closing it out 6-4. In the second set he struck early once more, breaking in the first and third games to cruise through 6-2.
Molleker won 51 total points to Blanch's 32 and took 75% of points behind both his first and second serves despite landing only three aces. Blanch fired six aces but was broken four times, saving three of seven break points he faced, while Molleker's five-game run sealed the win.
