Minnesota United and San Diego FC drew 1-1 in MLS, with the visitors controlling much of the play but unable to turn their dominance into more than a single goal. Tomás Chancalay's early strike gave Minnesota the lead, and Anders Dreyer's second-half equaliser earned San Diego a point.
Chancalay put Minnesota ahead in the third minute, converting after Wil Trapp's assist. San Diego pushed for an equaliser and got it in the 64th minute, when Dreyer scored to make it 1-1. Drake Callender and Dreyer were both shown yellow cards in that same minute.
The shots were level at 13 each, but Minnesota had eight on target to San Diego's two, and the San Diego goalkeeper made seven saves. San Diego finished with 68% possession and 653 accurate passes, while their expected-goals figure of 1.47 was higher than Minnesota's 0.92.
