Millonarios beat Deportivo Pasto 2-0 in Primera A, Apertura, taking the points with a purposeful, clinical performance. The home side struck first midway through the opening period and added a second just after the hour to keep control.
Andrés Llinás opened the scoring on 25 minutes, finishing from Francisco Chaverra's assist. Leonardo Castro doubled the lead on 63 minutes, converting Rodrigo Contreras' assist, and Millonarios saw the game out without serious trouble.
Deportivo Pasto saw far more of the ball, with 67% possession and 460 accurate passes to Millonarios' 186, but Millonarios were much the more dangerous side: 17 shots, 10 on target and an expected-goal total of 1.76 to Pasto's 0.17. Pasto's goalkeeper made eight saves to keep the score down, while Pasto managed only one shot on target.
