Matusevich edged the opening set after a single break in the tiebreak at 6-7. Rehberg squared the match by breaking for 3-2 in the second set, then took control in the decider with breaks at 4-3 and 6-3, the latter sealing victory.
Rehberg's second serve was a decisive weapon: he won 77% of points behind it (23/30) compared to Matusevich's 48% (23/48). He also collected 37 return points to his opponent's 15, underlining his dominance on Matusevich's delivery.
