Teboho Mokoena struck two minutes from time to give Mamelodi Sundowns a 2-1 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows in the Premier Soccer League. The visitors led through Siyanda Ndlovu in the 14th minute, but Sede Junior Dion pulled the hosts level with 15 minutes left. Mokoena then won it at the death.
Sundowns went ahead early when Siyanda Ndlovu finished from Tashreeq Matthews's assist. Golden Arrows pushed after the break and got their reward on 76 minutes, Philani Kumalo setting up Sede Junior Dion to make it 1-1. The game looked to be heading for a draw until Teboho Mokoena scored unassisted in the 88th minute, with a yellow card each for Iqraam Rayners and Angelo Van Rooi following in stoppage time.
The hosts had more attempts at goal, 10 to eight, and won the corner count 10-1, but Sundowns were more clinical, scoring twice from four shots on target against Arrows' one goal from six. Sundowns also controlled possession with 60% and completed 470 accurate passes to Golden Arrows' 283, while their goalkeeper made five saves to two. The stats show an open contest, but Sundowns took their chances when it mattered.
