Mamelodi Sundowns ran out 5-2 winners over AmaZulu FC in the Premier Soccer League, turning in a dominant attacking display. Two goals inside the opening half-hour set the tone, and although AmaZulu twice pulled within a goal, Sundowns always had an answer.
Brayan Léon Muñiz opened the scoring after 25 minutes and Teboho Mokoena doubled the lead on 32. Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya pulled one back for AmaZulu immediately after the break, but Tashreeq Matthews made it 3-1 on 51. Muñiz struck again on 66 and, after Ngwenya's second on 70, Bennet Mokoena completed the scoring in the 90th minute.
Sundowns dominated the stats - 69% possession, 18 shots to five and 2.45 expected goals to 0.33 - and their control was underlined by a 545-192 edge in accurate passes. Brayan Léon Muñiz, with a brace, was the standout performer as the home side took the chances their pressure created.
