Maardu Linnameeskond secured a 2-1 home victory over FC Nõmme United U21 in the Esiliiga, with the damage done inside the opening 41 minutes. Vladimir Malinin put them ahead on 34 minutes, and Manucho doubled the lead before the break.
The second half brought fewer clear chances, and play became scrappier. Aleksandr Kulinits was shown a red card on 85 minutes, and Ottomar Rootsma pulled one back for the visitors in the 90th minute, setting up a nervous finale.
Malinin and Manucho's goals proved decisive, arriving within seven minutes of each other. Rootsma's late strike gave FC Nõmme United U21 hope, but they could not force an equaliser.
