Avellino secured a 3-0 victory over L.R. Vicenza in Serie B, effectively ending the contest with two goals in the opening 16 minutes. Andrea Favilli assisted all three goals as Avellino took their chances ruthlessly.
Michele Besaggio put Avellino ahead in the 11th minute, and Raffaele Russo doubled the lead five minutes later, both goals set up by Andrea Favilli. Brando Moruzzi added the third from another Favilli pass in the first minute of the second half.
Vicenza controlled possession with 58% and had 18 shots to Avellino's ten, yet only three of those were on target. Avellino, by contrast, put eight of their ten attempts on goal, and although expected goals were close (1.41 to 1.26), they scored their two big chances while Vicenza missed both of theirs.
