Ljungskile SK took control early and held on for a 2-1 win over Sandvikens IF in the Superettan. Two first-half goals put them in command, and despite a second-half response from the visitors and a late sending-off, the home side saw out the victory.
Mehmet Uzel opened the scoring in the eighth minute. Shakur Omar doubled the lead two minutes before half-time, assisted by William Nilsson. Sandvikens pulled one back in the 59th minute through Karl Bohm, set up by Fabian Andersson, but could not find an equaliser.
Sandvikens pushed for a leveller but were reduced to ten men in stoppage time when Yabets Yaliso Yaya received a red card. The away side also saw three yellow cards across the match, while Ljungskile's defence held firm to secure the points.
