Linfield FC took the points with a 2-1 win over Glentoran FC in the Premiership. Darragh Leahy's early goal put them ahead, and Kirk Millar's strike 13 minutes from time looked to have sealed the victory before Jordan Stewart's stoppage-time reply for the visitors.
Leahy turned in the opener in the 19th minute, and Linfield held that lead through a tight first half. Millar doubled the advantage in the 77th minute, and although Stewart pulled one back in the 90th, Linfield saw out the result. The closing stages grew scrappy, with several yellow cards shown in and around the final whistle.
Linfield's two scorers made the difference, with Leahy and Millar both finding the net against a Glentoran side that kept pushing until the end. The late consolation from Stewart gave the scoreline a closer look, but the damage had already been done.
