Espanyol made light work of Levante UD at home, winning 3-0 in a comfortable LaLiga afternoon. Roberto Fernández scored twice inside the opening 40 minutes to put the hosts in control, and the result was never seriously in doubt after that.
Fernández opened the scoring after five minutes and doubled the lead just before the break, with Javier Hernández providing the assist for the second. Levante offered little going forward, and Tyrhys Dolan sealed the win ten minutes from time after Rafael Bauza set him up.
The scoreline reflected a dominant display: Espanyol had 16 shots to Levante's four and six on target to none, while posting an expected-goals figure of 1.55 against 0.28. They also edged possession with 54%, and a couple of late bookings for Urko González and Javier Hernández did nothing to spoil the afternoon.
