Västerås IK won 7-3 in Leksand in regulation, and the game was effectively settled before the second intermission. Two goals in each of the first two periods put the visitors up 4-0, and Leksand never got closer than three.
Felix Johansson opened it in the fifth minute off a Daniel Gunnarsson feed, and Fabian Hellstrom made it 0-2 at 17 with Lukas Zetterberg assisting. The turning point came in a 60-second stretch after the first break: Victor Pantzare scored unassisted at 22 and Sebastian Falk finished a Carl Jakobsson setup at 23 for 0-4. Leksand's push arrived only in the third — Ake Stakkestad at 46 and again at 53, and a third home goal at 57 — but Jakobsson answered at 47 and Västerås added two more inside the last four minutes.
Stakkestad was the only multi-goal man for Leksands IF with two, both in the third. Falk and Jakobsson traded goal and assist on each other's markers, and Västerås scored in all three periods — three of them in the closing 14 minutes to bury the comeback.
