Leksands IF U20 took a 5-4 decision at Modo Hockey U20, surviving a six-goal third period in regulation. The visitors built their margin early and did just enough to hold it late.
Leksand scored twice in the opening period for a 2-0 lead, and Modo answered with the only goal of the second to make it 2-1 after 40 minutes. The third broke open with three goals apiece — Leksand matched Modo strike for strike, and the 4-5 final held without needing overtime.
The decisive number is the first period: 2-0 on the scoreboard. That two-goal cushion was exactly the margin Leksand needed once the game turned into a track meet in the third.
