Leixões SC beat Amarante FC 3-1 in the Segunda Liga, with an early goal and a strong return after the interval proving decisive. Cláudio Araújo struck in the eighth minute to put the hosts ahead, and further goals either side of half-time took the game away from Amarante.
Araújo made it 1-0 in the eighth minute. Luccas Feitosa doubled the lead on 45 minutes from Rafael Barbosa's assist, and Bryan Róchez added a third in the 52nd minute after Araújo turned provider. Simão Silva pulled one back for Amarante in the 64th minute, but Leixões saw the rest of the match out without further drama.
Cláudio Araújo was central to the win, scoring the opener and setting up Róchez for the third. The match was lively, with six yellow cards shown, but no sending-off changed the shape of the contest.
