Mantova knocked Lazio out of the Coppa Italia in the Round of 64 with a 0-2 win. Lazio dominated possession and had far more shots, but Mantova were clinical and took their chances when they mattered.
The game stayed goalless until the 75th minute, when Francesco Ruocco put Mantova ahead from Davide Bragantini's assist. Ismael Cajazzo sealed the win in the 90th minute, finishing after David Wieser set him up. Lazio pushed hard throughout but could not find a way through.
The difference was in front of goal: Lazio had 21 shots but only three on target and missed all three of their big chances. Mantova had seven shots on target, scored with two of them, and converted both of their big chances despite having only 30% possession.
