ECDC Memmingen Indians handled Lausitzer Fuchse 6-0 in regulation, a shutout built on a first period that effectively ended the thing. Three goals before the first intermission gave Memmingen a cushion they never had to defend under pressure.
The Indians went up 3-0 after 20 minutes, then added two more in the middle frame for 5-0, which removed any route back for the visitors. A single third-period goal closed it at 6-0, by which point the game had become an exercise in game management.
The number that defines it is zero — Memmingen's goaltending and defensive structure kept Lausitz off the board across all three periods. Scoring in every period while conceding none is about as clean a 60 minutes as a team gets.
