Lang opened the scoring after three minutes, converting Sascha Horvath's assist, and doubled the lead in the 19th minute from Alemão's pass. The match was effectively decided by that point, with LASK controlling possession and creating chances throughout. Flecker completed the scoring in the 89th minute after Krystof Daněk set him up.
The scoreline did not flatter LASK, who dominated with 58% possession, 22 shots and an expected-goals tally of 2.88, while Altach managed just seven shots and 0.28 xG. The visitors did have two big chances but took neither, and the LASK goalkeeper made two saves to preserve the clean sheet. Altach's cause was not helped by 15 fouls committed, with six yellow cards shown in total.
