Larne FC came from behind to beat SP Tre Fiori 2-1 in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The Northern Irish side recovered from an early deficit and took advantage of two dismissals for their visitors.
Tre Fiori took the lead in the 11th minute when Pietro Mengucci scored from Matteo Prandelli's assist. Larne levelled on 25 minutes through Matt Ridley, set up by Ronan Doherty. Dan Bent then put Larne ahead in the 69th minute with an unassisted goal.
The San Marino side's cause was undermined by indiscipline: Simone Rea was sent off after a second yellow card in the 63rd minute, and Tommaso Leon Bernardi also received two yellow cards in stoppage time, leaving Tre Fiori with nine men. Larne held on to secure the win.
