Lahti Pelicans won 6-3 in regulation, seizing control with a four-goal first period and then withstanding Vaasan Sport's second-period comeback bid. The opening burst set the tone at home, and the Pelicans answered every push with enough cushion to close it out.
Roni Karvinen opened the scoring at 4:59, and Oleksii Myklukha struck twice, at 8:35 and 11:05, before Michal Jordan made it 4-0 at 16:14. Sport stormed back in the second, getting goals from Lari Heikkinen at 29:22 and 31:25 plus Kalle Ostman at 35:10 to cut the margin to 4-3. But Lahti steadied itself and finished with two goals at the 60-minute mark, the first by Anton Kettunen off a Christoffer Forsberg assist, to secure the 6-3 decision.
Myklukha's two-goal first period was the individual standout, though the broader number was the Pelicans' four-goal outburst in the first 16 minutes — a lead that proved just enough against Sport's three-goal middle frame.
