Kumstat J. cruised past Boogaard T. 6-1, 6-1 in the first round of the ATP Challenger in Bunschoten, dominating from the outset with relentless returning. The Czech converted five of six break points and saved three of four break points against his own serve, never allowing his Dutch opponent to settle.
In the opening set, Kumstat broke in the first game, then again at 3-0 after Boogaard briefly halted the run by breaking back at 3-1. Kumstat immediately restored the double break and closed the set with a fifth break at 6-1. The second set followed a similar pattern: a break for 2-0 and another at 5-1 sealed the match in just over an hour.
Kumstat’s first serve was a key weapon—he won 83% of points behind it (20/24), while Boogaard managed only 39% (9/23) on his own first delivery. The Czech also won 60% of first-serve return points and 68% of second-serve returns, leaving Boogaard with just one hold of serve in the entire match.
