Durban City FC 2024 took the Premier Soccer League points with a 2-0 win at Kruger United, profiting from an early goal and a quick second after the break. Kruger had more of the ball and more attempts but were left with nothing.
Jean Lwamba gave Durban the lead in the seventh minute, and Gastón Sirino made it 0-2 in the 50th. Kruger pushed forward from there but could not convert their pressure into a goal. Six players were booked across the match, including Sirino.
The stats showed Kruger's dominance in possession and territory – 53% possession, 13 corners to two and 14 shots to 11. Durban, though, created the better chances, finishing with an expected-goal figure of 1.88 to 1.33 and converting two of their three big chances while Kruger missed all three of theirs.
