Kristiansund BK beat Molde FK 2-1 in the Eliteserien, despite being on the back foot for long spells. Molde dominated the ball and created far more chances, but Kristiansund took their opportunities when they came.
Sander Hestetun Kilen put Kristiansund ahead in the 25th minute, converting Sander Svendsen's assist for 1-0. Leander Alvheim doubled the lead in the 76th minute, and although Trent Kone Doherty pulled one back for Molde in the 89th minute from Viktor Bender's pass, Kristiansund held on.
The numbers underline how one-sided much of the game was: Molde had 68% possession, 28 shots to Kristiansund's 10, and expected goals of 3.16 against 0.66. Kristiansund won anyway, thanks in large part to nine saves from their goalkeeper and two clinical goals.
