Kawasaki Frontale beat Shimizu S-Pulse 3-1 in the J.League after Marcinho scored twice inside the final 13 minutes. Shimizu had to play more than half the match with ten men after Jelani Reshaun Sumiyoshi was sent off in the 40th minute.
Kyosuke Mochiyama put Kawasaki ahead inside the first minute from Asahi Sasaki's assist. Shimizu levelled through Se-hun Oh in the 68th, but Marcinho restored the lead nine minutes later with Derik Lacerda setting him up, then wrapped up the win in the 90th after Yasuto Wakizaka's pass.
Kawasaki controlled the contest on the numbers, holding 57 per cent possession, firing 25 shots to Shimizu's 13 and creating five big chances. Shimizu offered little in reply, though their goalkeeper made five saves to keep the margin respectable.
