Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Kawasaki Frontale shared the points in a 1-1 J.League draw. Kawasaki had more attempts on goal but could not find a winner after Yuki Yamamoto cancelled out Mutsuki Kato's opener.
Kato put Sanfrecce ahead in the 29th minute, converting after Shunki Higashi's assist. Kawasaki responded in the second half when Yamamoto levelled in the 58th minute from Reon Yamahara's delivery, and neither side could force a decisive goal.
The numbers reflected a tight contest: Sanfrecce held 56% possession and completed 470 passes, while Kawasaki recorded 17 shots. Both goalkeepers were kept busy, with Sanfrecce's five saves and Kawasaki's six, and each team created one big chance.
