Kawasaki Frontale and Kyoto Sanga FC shared a 2-2 draw in the J.League. Kawasaki took the lead just before half-time through Lazar Romanić, but Kyoto turned the match around with two goals in four minutes after the break. Marcinho’s equaliser rescued a point for the hosts.
Romanić put Kawasaki ahead in the 43rd minute. Shinnosuke Fukuda levelled for Kyoto in the 54th, before Rafael Elias completed the turnaround four minutes later. Marcinho struck in the 64th minute to make it 2-2.
Kawasaki dominated the stats, with 56% possession and 22 shots to Kyoto’s 13, yet needed a late equaliser to avoid defeat. They had seven shots on target to Kyoto’s six. Alex Souza, Weverton and Yuto Ozeki were all booked.
