Karlsruher SC took all three points with a 2-1 win over Arminia Bielefeld, thanks to a Moritz Broschinski brace. The home side controlled much of the contest and struck twice in the second half to seal the result.
Broschinski opened the scoring in the 35th minute from Marvin Wanitzek's assist, then added a second in the 78th minute with Wanitzek again providing the pass. Arminia pulled one back almost immediately through Marvin Mehlem in the 80th minute, but Karlsruher held on.
Karlsruher dominated the shot count, 22 to 11, and had 57% possession, yet the expected goals were tight at 1.37 to 1.16. Bielefeld had three big chances and missed all of them, while Karlsruher converted two of their three.
