The Kelowna Rockets took a 4-3 overtime decision in Kamloops, the lone extra-time goal settling a game that had been level since the second intermission. Neither side could separate over the final 20 minutes of regulation, and the Rockets cashed in the only goal of the overtime period.
Kamloops owned the first, outscoring Kelowna 2-1 to carry a 2-1 lead to the break. The Rockets flipped the middle frame 2-1 to square it 3-3, and that turning point held through a scoreless third, which ended 3-3 and pushed it past regulation.
The number that frames it: five of the seven goals came in the opening 40 minutes, and the third period produced none at all. From 3-3 after two, the Rockets needed only one more — and got it in overtime.
