Kiekko-Espoo rolled to a 5-1 regulation win over KalPa Kuopio, snapping a scoreless deadlock with a three-goal second period and never surrendering the lead. The home side controlled the game from that point, adding two more in the third to close it out.
After a quiet first period, Arttu Tuomaala opened the scoring at 25:00 from Kristian Näkyvä. Mathias From made it 2-0 at 39:00 with help from Aarne Talvitie, and Lukas Svejkovsky pushed the lead to 3-0 at 40:00. Linus Oberg stretched it to 4-0 at 44:00, and after Ville Ruotsalainen pulled one back for KalPa at 46:00 (Cade Borchardt), Svejkovsky added his second of the night at 57:00, assisted by Jani Lajunen, to seal the 5-1 final.
Svejkovsky's two goals led the way, giving Kiekko-Espoo a two-score cushion and later restoring the four-goal margin after KalPa's lone tally. The decisive stretch was the second period, when the hosts scored three times in a span of 15 minutes to break the game open.
