Tararudee controlled the opener, where the breaks came at 1-3, 2-3 and 3-5. Kalieva fought back to take the second set in a tiebreak after scores moved through 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3 and 4-3. The third set included breaks at 0-2, 1-2, 1-3 and 2-6.
The standout number was Tararudee's serve: she won 11 of 14 service games and saved 6 of 9 break points, while converting five break chances across the match. Kalieva got 61% of first serves in and saved 7 of 12 break points, but won only 7 of her 12 service games.
