Bahia beat Internacional 3-2 in Brasileiro Série A, turning the match around after falling behind early. Alan Patrick put Internacional ahead in the 16th minute, but Bahia replied with three goals before half-time.
Erick Pulga levelled from Nicolás Acevedo's assist in the 23rd minute, then put Bahia in front from Alejo Veliz's pass in the 42nd. Erick added a third on the stroke of half-time, and although Vitinho pulled one back for Internacional in the 52nd minute after Alan Patrick's assist, Bahia held on.
Bahia had the better of the numbers, with 56% possession, 13 shots to 12 and an expected-goals figure of 2.39 against Internacional's 1.69. Internacional committed 17 fouls to Bahia's 10 and were chasing the game for most of the second half, but Bahia took their chances to secure the win.
