Carolina Core FC eased to a 4-0 victory over Inter Miami CF II in MLS Next Pro, a result that belied the visitors' dominance in possession. Despite having only 38% of the ball, Carolina were clinical in front of goal, scoring four times from 15 shots.
Thomas Raimbault opened the scoring after just two minutes, giving Carolina an early lead. Nicholas Kaloukian doubled the advantage in the 26th minute, and then turned provider for David Díaz to make it 3-0 in the 67th minute. Grayson Rockhill completed the rout with a fourth goal in the 89th minute, assisted by Ricardo Montenegro.
Inter Miami had 62% possession and 23 total shots, but only five found the target. Carolina, by contrast, created four big chances and scored three of them, while their expected goals (1.87) more than doubled that of their opponents (0.68). The home side also recorded 10 shots on target, matching the visitors' six saves.
