The deadlock was broken two minutes after the restart when Rafael Mentzingen finished from Aedan Stanley's assist. Five minutes later, Maxi Rodríguez doubled the lead, this time set up by Mentzingen. The quick-fire double left Indy Eleven with little time to respond, and despite a flurry of late bookings, they never threatened a comeback.
Detroit dominated the attacking stats, registering 15 total shots with eight on target, compared to Indy's 11 and three. They also created two big chances and converted both, while Indy had none.
