Ilves Tampere U20 came from two goals down to beat TPS Turku U20 6-5 in regulation. The middle period did it: four Ilves goals wiped out the deficit and turned the night.
TPS took the opening frame 2-0, scoring at minute 7 and again at 11, and carried that lead to the first intermission. Ilves answered with four in the second — goals at 21, 27, 33 and 38 — while TPS replied twice, at 23 and 29, leaving it 4-4 after 40. TPS scored again at 44, but Ilves struck at 54 to settle it.
The number that matters is the second-period split: 4-2 Ilves, a swing that erased a two-goal hole and forced TPS to chase the rest of the way. Ten goals are logged in the scoring summary; neither goaltender was given much shelter.
