Östersunds IK beat Hudiksvalls HC 3-2 in regulation in a Club Friendly Games matchup. The hosts built a two-goal lead through two periods and then held off a late Hudiksvall push to lock up the win.
Östersunds took a 2-1 lead in the first period, scoring twice, and added a goal at 32:00 to go up 3-1. Hudiksvall replied at 56:00 to make it 3-2, but Östersunds saw out the final minutes.
The opening period was the difference, as Östersunds' two goals there gave them the cushion they needed. Four of the five goals came in the first two periods, with the game's decisive stretch coming before the third frame.
