Sanches Fernandes put Huddersfield ahead in the fourth minute and doubled the lead in the sixteenth. Radulović sealed the win in the 78th minute. Bali Mumba was sent off in the 29th minute.
Huddersfield were outplayed in possession, with 39% to Wimbledon's 61%, and had fewer total shots, eight to nine, but they were clinical. They put three of their shots on target and scored all three, while Wimbledon managed only one on target, with expected goals of 0.94 to 0.43. Sanches Fernandes was the standout player with his brace.
